Wedding in Sitges facing the Mediterranean

There are cities that seem designed for love. Sitges is one of them.

Sitges: where the light changes everything

The sea always present, the old town that smells of history, the modernist facades that change colour with the evening light, and that particular calm the village has when the celebration ends and it's just the two of you facing the Mediterranean. Few weddings have that privilege.

Santuari del Vinyet

Stone, silence, history. Documented since before 1326, with light filtered through the pines that works extraordinarily well in photography.

    La Punta Church

The parish church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla, perched on the headland that gives its name to the heart of Sitges, is one of the most recognisable wedding settings in Catalonia. The steps descending toward the sea, the white facade against the blue, the views over the bay from the atrium. You need look no further: the place does everything.

    Santuari del Vinyet

Hidden among pine trees on the outskirts of the village, the Santuari de la Mare de Déu del Vinyet has been documented since before 1326. Stone, silence, history. A space for couples seeking something more intimate than La Punta church, with a very different character and a light filtered through the pines that works extraordinarily well in photography.

    The Old Town

The white alleyways of Sitges, the modernist facades of the Passeig de la Ribera, the Palau de Maricel with its sea-facing gardens. The old town is a natural light studio: every corner changes with the time of day, every white wall reflects the sun in a different way. For the couple shoot, it is an inexhaustible setting.

    The beaches

Sitges authorises ceremonies on six of its beaches. If you've ever imagined getting married with the Mediterranean as your witness, here it is officially possible. And for sunset photos, the Sitges coastline — with the village in the background — is one of those images that needs no editing.

    Estates in the surroundings

A few minutes from the centre, estates such as Mas Solers combine the best of both worlds: proximity to the sea and village with a private country garden setting. For weddings that want a venue celebration but a step away from Sitges.

    Destination weddings

Sitges is a destination for international destination weddings. Couples from all over Europe and the Americas choose to get married here precisely because of what it has: climate, architecture, sea, gastronomy and that personality that few Mediterranean villages still preserve. If you're getting married in Sitges and coming from abroad, I know how to organise the reportage to make the most of the time and spaces, without rushing or improvising.

I love accompanying couples on this day. In Sitges especially, because the village itself pushes you to live slowly, to notice the details, to be present. And that is exactly what I look for when I photograph a wedding.

If you're getting married here, let's talk. Tell me how you picture the day and together we'll find the corners that will make your album uniquely yours.
